Guernica

I first remember seeing Guernica in my art history class during my freshman year of college. I recently saw this painting again while reading one of my favorite blogs. It instantly reminded me of how much I love it. The Guernica painting is 11 feet tall and 25.6 wide and is located at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain. Guernica depicts suffering, agony, chaos and pain. Although what it depicts is tragedy, it is truly beautiful-inspiring, actually. This painting serves as a voice for those involved in the bombing of Guernica. There is so much history and emotion behind this painting, it blows my mind. This by far is my favorite painting, it think it's the reason why I enjoy art.
