February has Arrived!

It's about that time of year again! No, I am not referring to Valentine's Day, but Fashion Week! Starting February 9, New York will be kicking off Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week followed by London, Milan and Paris. Unlike last year, where the shows were based out of the tents of Bryant Park, the F/W 2012 shows will take place at the Lincoln Center, similarly to Spring/Summer 2012. So the tents are down, and stages are up!
Unfortunately, I won't be volunteering backstage this season, but, I will be reviewing here on my blog, so stayed tuned for Fashion Week reviews!

The highly anticipated fashion collaboration this season has officially launched online! Karl Lagerfeld, fashion designer, legend, and mastermind behind the fashion houses, Chanel and Fendi, collaborated with lux fashion website Net-A-Porter to create a hip, edgy, uber fashionable and affordable collection. What beats fabulous clothes and reasonable prices?...Pretty much nothing!

In honor of this outstanding collaboration, I pulled together some of my favorite pieces and styled them to give you a head start on your shopping! Check them out down below.

Make sure you visit Net-A-Porter to shop Lagerfeld's exclusive collection!

Along with the debut of his collection, Net-A-Porter featured a face-to-face interview with Karl Lagerfeld, and, Karl Lagerfeld...Yes, he interviewed himself! Watch this bizarre, but clever video:

Maestro Knows

For those of you who don't know, Mr. Levi Maestro, is my everyone’s favorite video blogger. He produces all his videos and hosts his online show, 'Maestro Knows'. Based out of Los Angeles, CA, he gives us viewers and readers a close look at his life through his world travels and experiences. Whether it's a day of skateboarding, taking a trip to South Africa, or hanging out with stars such as Jay Kennedy and Anthony Hamilton, his fans can all live vicariously through his videos. As a fan of Maestro, I live by his words:

"You gotta work hard and do for yourself, cause nobody else is gonna do what you want for you."-LM

Aside from serving as an inspiration to many, by proving that with hard work, dreams can become reality, Maestro has introduced himself to the fashion industry. Needless to say, he has been welcomed to the fashion world with open arms. In the past few months, he has been hard at work, collaborating with Vans Vault, to create a new sneaker, already released, in January 2012. His sneakers have been featured in SNEAKER FREAKER's 23rd Issue.

So what exactly do his sneakers look like? What's all the rave? His new sneakers, are made out of grey premium leather with a suede finish on the upper front of the sneakers. And, to your surprise, when you flip them over, you'll find yourself a rainbow blend colored sole (talk about a showstoppin' pair of kicks!) AMAZING!  His idea's both bold and impressive. The meaning behind the sneakers?:

"Grey is just my favorite color and the bottom is like
the idea of how a person can sometimes be different inside
than they appear on the exterior."

Inspiration of The Day- Fifth Avenue

Spring semester is in full swing, and I am already hard at work, aiming for that 4.0!

One of my many projects this semester, is to create a book of inspirations. Over the course, of the semester, I am to find a picture of things that inspire me, and briefly write about them. Since many of my inspirations come from fashion, art, music and everything else I find beautiful, incorporating some of my many inspirations into 'All Things Beautiful' will be great for both my readers and myself. I'm so excited to share them with you all!

Hope you enjoy, below is my first inspiration!

Although I have been living in New York City for about a year, walking up and down the streets of the city is still a surreal experience. It is an experience that will never get tiresome. After leaving my academic career as a pre-medical student at my previous college, I moved to the big city to pursue my true passion, fashion. Fifth Avenue has become more than just a street I walk on, but it has become a window of opportunities and a living dream. I am lucky enough to walk this avenue everyday, whether I’m walking to class, going on dozens of interviews, or having a day full of shopping. I am overly excited to see where Fifth Avenue will take me next!

Vince Camuto Graces SoHo

Vince Camuto is taking over New York City, one shoe at a time...or in this case, one store at a time!
After recently opening up his flagship store in Grand Central Station in September 2011, he has moved onto store number two, SoHo (location! location! location!). On January 20, 2012, Vince held the grand opening of his new store-and has been flocked by shoppers since than. As the success of his Grand Central shop continues, SoHo will be just as successful, if not more.
The 2,500 square foot shop, located along Broadway (between Prince & Spring St.) houses the Vince Camuto and VC Signature collection of handbags and shoes. Along with Camuto's fabulous accessories, the SoHo shop also houses a selection of his sportswear collection.
So ladies head over to SoHo for some Vince Camuto shopping, and guys you too-because what woman can resist a pair of Camuto shoes?, seriously.

If you are as obsessed with everything Vince Camuto as I am, you can shop an endless selection of Vince Camuto's clothing line at stores such as Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.

For some online shopping, visit Vince Camuto online!
