Almost a year ago, I started "All Things Beautiful" and I can honestly say I enjoyed making every single post. However, these past few months I've been a tad too busy and haven't had time to blog excuses, excuses.  But, I promise myself, my fellow readers and all those who come across "All Things Beautiful", that 2012 will be different, and I will make tremendous efforts to make frequest posts:)

Also, NEW EMAIL UPDATE - I apologize to those sending me emails to my old account! I have a new one. But I'm back and here to help!, So feel free to email me at my new address, or message me on here with your style inquiries, I loved doing them-so much fun! I also reactivated my Polyvore, so you all can get some tips/ideas/inspiration from some of my posts there as well:

"It happens as you grow up; you find out who you are, and what you want, and then you find out that people you've known forever don't see things the way you do. And so you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on."

In loving memory.

In memory of those who lost their lives, those who lost loved one's and those who suffered and are still suffering from one of the worst acts to this country.
September 11. My heart goes out to all who were affected.
Never forgotten- God Bless.

"How to be a 20-something"

"me, just being a 21 year old."

Be really attractive. Your acne is gone, your face has matured without having wrinkles and everything on your body is lifted naturally.  When you turn thirty, it’ll become a different story but that’s, like, not for a really long time.

Reestablish a relationship with your parents. You don’t live with them anymore (hopefully) so start to appreciate them as human beings with thoughts, flaws and feelings rather than soulless life ruiners who won’t let you borrow their car.

Go from eating delicious food at your parents’ house to eating Ragu tomato sauce over Barilla noodles.  Develop an eating disorder to save money.

Move into an apartment on the corner of Overpriced and Dangerous. Sleep on a bare mattress with an Ikea comforter. Your mother talks to you about buying a top sheet and a duvet cover but feel like you’re not mature enough to own something called “duvet.”

“Date people who you know you’ll never be able to love.”

Read the New York Times piece, “What Is It About 20-Somethings?” Feel exposed and humiliated. Share it on your Facebook with the caption: “Um….” Your friends will comment “Too real” and that will be the end of that.

Work at a coffee shop but feel hopeful about your career in advertising, writing, whatever. Remember that you’re young and that the world is your oyster. Everything is possible, you still have so much to see and hear. You went to a good school and did good things. Figure if you’re not going to be successful, who the hell is?

Date people who you know you'll never be able to love. See someone for three months for no other reason than because it’s winter and you want to keep warm by holding another body. Date a Republican just so you can say you dated a Republican.

Eventually all these nobodies will make you crave a somebody. Have a real relationship with someone. Go on vacations together, exchange house keys, cry in their arms after a demoralizing day at work. Think about marrying them andmaybe even get engaged. Regardless of the outcome, feel proud of yourself for being able to love someone in a healthy way.

Start your twenties with a lot of friends and leave with a few good ones. What happened? People faded away into their careers and relationships. Fights were had and never resolved.Shit happens.

Think of yourself at twenty and hanging out with people who didn’t mean a thing to you. Think about writing papers, about being promiscuous, about trying new things. Think of yourself now and your face looking different and your body feeling different and how everything is just different.

Form the habits that will stick with you forever. Drink your coffee with two sugars and skim milk every morning. Buy a magazine every Friday. Enjoy spending money on candles, watch the television before bed.

Move into a bigger apartment on the corner of Mature and Gentrification and finally buy a duvet cover.

Have your parents come to your place for Christmas. Set the table, make the ham, wear a sophisticated outfit, This will all mean so much at the time.

Think about having children when you stop acting like a child. This may not ever happen.

Maybe this is assuming too much. Maybe this is generalizing. Maybe society uses age as an unrealistic marker for growth. Maybe. Still feel the anxiety on your 30th birthday and think to yourself, “Oh shit, I’m no longer a 20-something.”

Hope you enjoyed. Check out more of Ryan's work on the Thought Catalog blog!

put a little love...

just a little photography that goes along with my "Song of the Day"

"Dreams, that's where I have to go
To see your beautiful - face anymore
I stare at a picture of you, and listen to the radio
Hope, hope there's a conversation
Where we both admit we had it good
But until then it's alienation, I know
That much is understood - and I realize

If you ask me how I'm doing
I would say I'm doing just fine
I would lie and say that you're not on my mind
But I go out and I sit down at a table set for two
And finally I'm forced to face the truth,
No matter what I say I'm - not over you

Damn, damn girl you do it well
And I thought you were innocent
Took this heart and put it through hell
But still you're magnificent
I'm a boomerang, doesn't matter how you throw me
I turn around and I'm back in the game
Even better than the old me
But I'm not even close without you

And if I had the chance to renew
You know there isn't a thing I wouldn't do
I could get back on the right track
But only if you'd be convinced
So until then..."

It's about that time of year...
Summer is out- fall is in!
I'm happy to say that we are now transitioning into the fall season.
So, aside from getting away from the unbearable heat (which I despise), summer fashion will soon fade away, and fall fashion will soon kick in.
Appropriately enough, I have the inside scoop on the "new-new" for the fall.

1. "RIGHT ANGLES"- It's no question that geometry was used as inspiration for Balenciaga, Celine and Antonio Berardi and other A-list designers, for their Fall 2011 collections! Right angles or anything geometric will be one of this season’s hottest trends. Mixing sleek colors with daring designs & prints- will make you a trendsetter this fall!

2. "GYM CLASS"- Athletic, gym and sporty fashion hit the Fall 2011 runway BIGTIME! So, break out the heather grays and bright neon colors; 'cause ultra-chic gym wear will be huge this season.

3. "VICTORIAN STYLE"- This is not so much a new trend, but more of a continuing and intensified trend. Last season, "lace-everything" was a hit for fashion. However, this season, the lace trend fashion has turned up a few notches! Intricate beading, ribbon detailing and cool colors have all been incorporated into lace clothing- thus, intensifying the lace trend. This season, lace will not be as "sexy" as it was last season, but instead, lace has been used to create a more subtle, delicate and Victorian look for the fall.

4. "SUITED-UP"- Perhaps, one of my favorite and classic trends for the fall! Traditionally, every designer closes their fashion shows with gowns and dresses. But, for the Fall 2011 shows, designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, The Row (Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen) and Ferragamo opted to close with tuxedo inspired clothing. Each designer had his or her own take on the tuxedo trend, from a more lady-like look to a more boyfriend style. These tuxedo trends will suit you well this season!

4.  "MOD STYLE"- This trend is completely 60's! Ultra feminine and extra chic! Incorporating knee-length skirts with posh like accents and bold jewelry, will make give you a retro look for the fall!

5. "RIDER STYLE"- Similarly to the lace trend, leather is another continuing trend. Leather biking style jackets, riding leather boots, and leather leggings/skirts with layered accessories will all be part of this trending fashion. Be sure to mix in lace  & leather to give you a girly-edgy look-perfect for the upcoming season!
