Jason Wu: Fall 2012

Jason Wu completely blew his Fall 2012 show out of the water!

His show started off with drumming beats and a huge mysterious red door. Only to quickly open up with a gush of smoky fog, as his models (also referred to as Wu girls) fiercely strutted the catwalk.

Make up included fierce smoky eyes with hints of deep green colors. Hair was completely slicked back into a tight long ponytail. I mean, these models practically looked like they were ready to kick everyone’s...well, you know what. And to some extent, that was true. According to Wu’s lead hair stylist, “Jason always does a strong girl…A Wu girl is always a fighter”.

Essentially, the combination of Jason Wu’s Fall 2012 modern pieces along with model’s fierce hair and makeup made you feel as if you were in some sort of Chinese dynasty movie. According to sources, Wu, drew much of his inspiration for this collection from Imperial China.

As for the pieces in this collection, the clothing pretty much spoke for itself. His color story consisted of red, deep pink, black, burgundy, gold and army green. Gold embroidery, black brocade, and hints of fur made the collection super luxurious. Overall, Wu’s collection was super edgy and modern but also fiercely romantic. The fashion for this show was on point! This is undoubtedly one of Wu’s strongest shows thus far.

Absolutely loved! Congrats Jason Wu-your collection is beyond amazing!
Check out my favorites from the show!
